Glasgow Caledonian’s Built and Natural Environmental
The School of the Built and Natural Environment (BNE) at Glasgow Caledonian University is one of the largest producers of graduates in its sector in the UK and was recently rated top for the quality of its degree programmes in Scotland (Guardian Newspapers 2008).  The School brings together a comprehensive range of programmes and subjects geared towards professional careers in all aspects of development, construction and planning, with a special focus on their environmental impact and management.

The School offers a range of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes that incorporate core environmental issues:
BSc (Hons) Environmental Management and Planning (CIWM, RICS)
BSc (Hons) Environmental Civil Engineering (JBM)
MSc Energy and Environmental Management (CIWM)
MSc Sustainable Energy Technologies
MSc Waste Management (CIWM)

As well as offering both undergraduate and post graduate programmes which concentrate on the environment The Caledonian Environment Centre is part of the School, providing a range of expertise in environmental issues such a waste management, sustainability and environmental education, and running a number of initiatives some of which are discussed below.
